New Nature China portal

Nature China portal
indicates value placed on China’s research

China’s status as an R&D powerhouse was reinforced with the launch of a Nature China portal this week. The portal offers access to scientific and medical content from Nature journals and other publishers authored by researchers in mainland China and Hong Kong. The portal has been sponsored by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca in a two-year partnership with the Nature Publishing Group — a relationship that would appear to signal the value that both NPG and AZ place on China’s research.

The portal can be browsed by subject and will eventually contain an archive of high-impact articles dating back to 2000. User input is also being solicited to identify key articles. Free registration is required to access both article citations and the full-text of Nature articles referenced.
