Today's Pick: Computerworld's 2007 Horizon Awards

 

On August 20, the magazine Computerworld released its annual list of the top 10 “cool cutting-edge technologies” emerging from research labs and companies. This year’s winners include:

  • ElekTex (Elekson Group PLC), interactive textile technology for wearable gadgetry
  • EyePoint (Stanford University’s HCI Lab), which makes eye-gaze a viable alternative to the mouse for point and selection tasks on the computer
  • Zink Imaging (Zinc Inc.), a totally inkless digital image full-colour printing system
