Calling all innovators!

Are you a health care researcher or inventor with an innovative idea? Wouldn’t you love to be teamed up with an a keen MBA student to make that business plan a reality? Now, what if you could do that, AND get a mentor AND training AND win cash prizes?

Well, let’s just say you might want to register now for the sanofi pasteur Health care and Biotechnology Venture Challenge (HBVC).

YORKbiotech and the Schulich School of Business have put together this program that gets the lab coats together with the suits for a “speed dating” session so that teams can be made of the minds best suited to the idea. Registrants are then treated to a series of expert-led training sessions, helping them hone their business skills, including writing and pitching a business plan.

Teams will be assigned a mentor who will help them with proposals, looking at them critically to point out any issues.

The program will get you through the assessment of the venture, writing of plans, professional critique of your plan and, finally, the pitch. And you might even win $15,000!

Sounds great, right? Well, you’d better dust off that health care idea and register now because the deadline is Tuesday September 9.
