Boot Camp for ICT start-ups: Apply now
Is your start-up looking for better access to Silicon Valley and US venture capital, angel networks and Fortune 500 ICT companies? Apply now to be one of the companies taking part in the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service’s Regional Boot Camp for ICT Start-Ups being held at MaRS on Thursday, March 19th, 2009.
This one-day boot camp will feature Silicon Valley and other US investors and is specifically designed to facilitate your market access to the US and Silicon Valley venture capital, angel networks and Fortune 500 ICT companies.
Interested companies must submit a one-page Executive Summary.
What should you include in the Executive Summary?
- Elevator Pitch – A few sentences with a high level summary of the company and why investors should invest
- Market Validation – Important milestones the company has achieved
- Problem – Identify key issues you solve with your technology within specific market categories
- Solution – An overview of the product/service you offer
- Revenue Model – How does your company make money?
- Market Opportunity – Identify any relevant market size estimates and other info that could help us understand the target market
- Company Contact Info – Contact and address information, key individuals in the organization (management or board members) and their relevant background experience
- How much money you need.
Executive Summaries must be sent no later than Monday, March 2nd, 2009 to kdamen@marsdd.com.
Companies selected to participate will be notified by Friday, March 6th, 2009. The Regional Boot Camp program is funded and organized by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in partnership with MaRS and as such, no registration fees will be charged to companies.
