Are VCs fallible? Human?

cibc presents entrepreneurship 101

At this week’s CIBC Presents Entrepreneurship 101 lecture, Dr. Lisa Crossley of Natrix Separations talked candidly about getting the best deal you can when you negotiate with investors such as VCs. Her comments about what investors look for were remarkably in sync with those from the three VCs at the previous lecture. She did share some comments about VCs liking bright shiny objects (I think that is what she said – as a former VC, my attention had been distracted by a bauble passing by) as well as some well placed suggestions as to how to build your board presentations in a way that will use fancy graphics to impress the VCs.

It raises an interesting question — have any of you out there got any stories about the foibles of investors (no names needed)?
