MaRS and the Deloitte Technology Fast 50
The Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ recognizes Canada’s top 50 fastest growing technology companies and MaRS is proud to be a part of it.
The nomination deadline is May 22nd and getting on this list could help you and your growing business attract more business and investment, get access to networking and education and significantly raise your international profile.

The Technology Fast 50™ ranks member companies on the basis of revenue growth over a period of five years. If you’re an innovative entrepreneur, and have been in business for less than five years, check out the “Companies-to-Watch” or “Technology Green 15™” award categories. The contest is open to both public and private companies, but you must invest a minimum of five percent of gross revenues on research and development. You also must own some kind of proprietary technology or intellectual property that contributes significantly to its operating revenue.
And if you enter, let us know, as we’d love to hear about your story. A number of MaRS clients and tenants have been recognized in the past, and we’re hoping to keep the tradition going this year.

2009 Technology Fast 50™ award categories:
Technology Fast 50™ ranking – Recognizing the 50 fastest growing tech companies with the highest percentage revenue growth over five years.
Companies-to-Watch awards – Honouring younger, promising Canadian tech companies that are in business for less than five years.
Technology Fast 50™ Leadership awards – Chosen by Deloitte and its sponsors from the applicants to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ ranking, these companies are the elite members of the Canadian technology industry. Their ability to create a distinct competitive advantage in a high-growth market allows them to dominate their sector and quickly join the ranks of other Canadian global leaders.
Technology Green 15™ awards – The Technology Green 15™ recognizes Canada’s leading GreenTech companies. It includes any technology that promotes a more efficient use and re-use of the earth’s resources in industrial production and consumption. GreenTech (or “cleantech”) products are designed to reduce or eliminate environmental impacts and improve operational performance, productivity, or efficiency while reducing costs, inputs, energy consumption, waste or pollution.
