Entrepreneurship 101 - Course Outline

Entrepreneurship 101 - Watch the course outline

We had a great turnout last Wednesday for the first lecture of Entrepreneurship 101–the course outline, sponsored by CIBC–gave students a taste of what’s to come over the next 29 weeks.

Weren’t able to make it? Not a problem! Here’s a synopsis of the class.

Keri Damen, MaRS’ Director of Entrepreneurship Education, took us through a brief overview of MaRS, the goals of Entrepreneurship 101 and a list of upcoming events, including the first Lived It Lecture of the year on Oct. 13 (with Mike McDerment from FreshBooks). She also highlighted two exciting new additions to look forward to – Meet The Entrepreneurs and Share Your Journey.

Meet the Entrepreneurs is a panel discussion with start-up entrepreneurs, who will talk about the challenges and opportunities they faced in their industry sector. After the class, attendees will be able to network with the entrepreneurs and amongst themselves.

Share Your Journey is an opportunity for attendees to share their experiences throughout Entrepreneurship 101 by posting entries on the MaRS blog. If you’re interested in participating in Share Your Journey, please email us at entrepreneurship101@marsdd.com.

Good video. Entrepreneurship 101 will be a good intro/reboot to and of being an entrepreneur with a level of structure and process that is usually lacking in such ventures.rnI’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
