2010: The year in review
It’s that time of the year when the media looks back over the previous twelve months and tries to discern some meaning from it all. Many of the findings from these retrospectives are a tad predictable, but the annual “Year in Ideas” feature produced by the New York Times Magazine tends to highlight breakthroughs and insights that might otherwise slip by.
Turbine-free wind power, a real-time inflation calculator and a guitar that stays in tune are just some of the innovations that show up here.
