Want to know what’s going on with some of the most interesting start-ups in Ontario?

At MaRS, we work with hundreds of early-stage companies to help them grow their businesses. Sometimes, those companies do great things: they win awards, secure financing, enter into partnerships or get great media coverage. Entrepreneurs in Action is a regular round-up of our clients’ successes.

Here’s what some of our clients have been up to:

• Four MaRS clients made it to CES 2011, the world’s premier showcase for must-have technologies: InteraXon, MMB, XYZ Interactive and Peraso.
• Seven MaRS clients made it onto the IDC’s “Ten Canadian Digital Media Companies to Watch: Toronto” list: BitStrips, InGamer, Nulayer, PushLife, Shiny Ads, Verold and Visibli.
• Joseph Cargnelli of Hydrogenics was nominated for a GreenHero Award.
• Echologics Engineering was acquired by Mueller Water Products.
• Bering Media announced the appointment of a new CEO.
• Ella’s Botanicals was featured in the Toronto Star.
• Hydrostor was featured in the Toronto Star.
• Tiffinday was written up in the Globe and Mail.
• InteraXon and XYZ Interactive were mentioned in a CES 2011 roundup from cbc.ca.
• GigaOM featured an article on Skymeter.
