Best Practices - IP Strategies for Diagnostics

This seminar begins with a discussion of the available scope of patent protection for advances in diagnostics. This first portion of the presentation also includes a discussion of the types of claims available in different jurisdictions. The presentation then discusses "support", i.e. the enabling teaching that is the trade-off for the patent monopoly, in the context of diagnostic patent applications. Finally, the presentation considers the enforcement and exploitation of patents directed to diagnostics.
