ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Peter Hofstra is experienced in early stage tech investing and Portfolio Management.  He recently joined Greenrock Asset Management as the founding Portfolio Manager.  Greenrock is an investment firm created to deploy capital into the rapidly developing clean technology sector.  Prior to joining Greenrock, Peter spent 6 years with investment firm AIC where he managed a Science and Technology Portfolio.  Peter also spent 8 years with a Canadian technology firm, after completion of his Ph.D. in Engineering Physics from McMaster University.  While with the tech firm Peter served as Vice President of Research & Development and was with the company from the initial start-up phase in 1994 and through the public offering in 1996.  Peter also has a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Guelph, has worked as a research Chemist with Xerox Corp., and holds his Chartered Financial Analyst Designation.
