ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Teresa’s experience with start-ups comes from both recruiting in that area and from active involvement as the co-founder of three businesses. She and her husband Timothy Snelgrove are the founders of Timothy’s Coffees, Chapters Bookstore Café and General Wellbeing. As experienced venture-backed entrepreneurs, they have focused on recruiting for very early stage start-ups and emerging growth companies.

Teresa also has a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto where she developed one of the very first structural analysis software packages. She has taught on a full time basis at the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontario. She recently completed a M.Ed. in Career Counselling at OISE (U of T) and has 8 years’ experience in IT and Life Sciences recruiting.
