With alliances at historically high levels in the biotech industry, many companies are seeking effective ways to approach partnerships with key pharmaceutical players. With over 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Nelson Sims has a unique perspective on best practices in this area.
His approach to partnerships starts with the right research that helps you identify how to select your partner and position the “quality of your science” in a manner that is relevant to partners. He also will discuss how you need to position your program and your scientific team in a way that differentiates you vs. competitors. Other partnership considerations he will discuss highlight the importance of what he refers to as the “soft elements” — those intangible points that can play a large part in making alliances work throughout each stage of the partnership process.
Nelson’s first session at MaRS in late 2005 was a huge success. Don’t miss your chance to learn some valuable lessons from this industry veteran at our next Peer to Peer Session.
