ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Yung Wu is Founder and CEO of Castek Inc. Yung has spent over 20 years in the technology industry as an entrepreneur, executive, management consultant and technology innovator.
After founding Castek in 1990, he led the company through 70% year over year growth, eventually transforming it from a technology services business to an enterprise software product company.
While the start-up company was originally financed through credit cards, it has since attracted almost $70 million of financing across 3 rounds of external financing, from top institutional investors and marquee VCs such as Technology Crossover Ventures, CIBC Capital Markets, p3 and Covington Capital. Castek has since been recognized with the "Top Product Launch of the Year" award, followed by the "Top Transformation Company of the Year" award, across two consecutive years by the prestigious Branham Awards national competition.
Yung was named one of Canada's "Top 40 under 40" leaders in recognition for exceptional achievements in vision, leadership, innovation, impact on business and community, and the capacity to encourage and foster growth. He also led Castek to inclusion as one of the "50 Best Managed Private Companies" in the nation.
Yung is a graduate of the University of Toronto, a member of MENSA and other organizations such as the Institute of Certified Management Consultants (ICMCO) and the Young Presidents Organizations (YPO).
