Collaboration Centre Services

MaRS works with some of the city’s best collaboration facilitators who help build exciting, intense, robust and especially productive meetings regardless of whether all participants are in the same room or separated by an ocean.

From helping to map out corporate strategy or brainstorm on a new product development, MaRS’ creative facilitators can help to:
  • clarify session goals so that they are clear, concise, meaningful and achievable;
  • develop a proposed meeting agenda using the facilitation tools that are best suited to individuals goals and situations;
  • facilitate the session so that organizing team members can participate fully while keeping the group on track; and
  • document the meeting so that key discussions, action plans, ideas, concepts, and results are captured

FOOD & BEVERAGE

The Collaboration Centre offers a well-equipped servery and works with some of Toronto's best caterers to meet all food and beverage needs and budgets.

Responsible Food @ MaRS

As MaRS aligns itself to the growing culinary movement to celebrate local cuisine and reduce our carbon footprint, we are challenging our caterers to do the same. Through the diligent work of Local Food Plus (LFP) certain food producers have been accredited and certified as able to deliver on this local culinary commitment.

MaRS has signed an agreement with LFP -- a non-profit organization dedicated to building and fostering local sustainable food systems by certifying farmers and processors and linking them with local purchasers -- to commit caterers to purchasing a portion of food products through certified local producers. Under our commitment we have certain targets that we aim to exceed by being an LFP Certified Venue.

For our part, we at MaRS no longer have or use bottled water and will endeavour to wean our clients off everything bottled. We are seeking to reduce recycling and the transportation associated with so much bottled product and are consequently asking our catering partners to have juices, cordials, lassies and all types of inventive refreshment that will reduce waste.

Finally, we require our catering partners and suppliers to purchase carbon-offset credits for all deliveries to/from our venue.
