Incorporated in 2000, the IIO is a not-for-profit Science and Technology service provider, supporting Ontario’s innovation agenda through the delivery of public research funding and the commercialization of its results in Ontario.
The IIO builds capacity and provides coherence for Ontario’s innovation agenda; incubates innovative ideas and programs; brings together the research, development & commercialization capabilities, needs and interests of business with research institutions and government; and provides cost effective administrative support and economies-of-scale to research investment programs.
