What We Do
The MaRS Venture Group helps start-up teams and entrepreneurs translate research and innovation into commercial success – working at the intersection of the fields of business, science and capital. Educational programs are provided to the community at large, many at no cost to individuals; topics are influenced by the recurring issues seen by Venture Group Advisors with a variety of early-stage startups. MaRS Advisors work with a select number of companies to provide coaching at the critical early stages of business planning. Advisors work with companies and entrepreneurs located within in the MaRS Centre and throughout Ontario. We focus on companies that are technology-based and operate in high-growth industries such as health care, biotechnology, energy, advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, nanotechnology, and information and communication technologies.
