Bio-analytical Mass Spectrometry
Proteomics
We work with state-of-the-art mass spectrometers and the most up-to-date proteomic methods. All samples are handled with integrity and reliability and processed in a professional manner in order to provide fast, accurate and reliable data. Our strengths and services include:
- Protein identification within three days
- Multi-dimensional protein identification technology (MuDPIT) or 2D-LC/MS/MS
- Stable isotope labelling with amino acids in cell culture (SILAC)
- Characterization of protein-protein interactions
- De novo sequencing

Drug Development
We are active in pharmaceutical development and routinely conduct drug bioavailability and pharmacokinetic determinations in animals and humans. Our scientific team can develop and validate sensitive LC/MS/MS and MALDI methods for the analysis, testing and quantification of:
- new chemical entities;
- small molecules and their metabolites; and
- protein biologics, degradants and impurities.
Biological Product Development
Custom Biologics offers a wide spectrum of recombinant DNA technologies and cell culture applications. We are able to:
- Clone/subclone genes of interest into the vector of your choice
- Generate large-scale preparations of highly purified plasmid DNA
- Custom develop recombinant antigens, proteins and cell lines
- Manufacture recombinant proteins using either prokaryotic or eukaryotic expression systems
- Develop transient or stable eukaryotic cell lines capable of continuously secreting proteins of interest into the extracellular space
- Engineer cell lines for the large-scale bio-processing of biologics
- In collaboration with our analytical division, all protein expression and manufacturing is monitored to ensure that the final product meets required specifications. Through our partner companies, we can assist with the GMP production of antigens and proteins for diagnostic applications.
