About The Speaker
After a number of years heading Compensation teams with global telecommunications companies, Lynn and Helen co-founded TechEdge in 2000. TechEdge was created to provide specialized compensation advice, guidance and market information to start-ups and other SME organizations. Before TechEdge was created, this insight was unattainable for smaller companies, who struggled to compete for talent against the large multinationals. These companies needed dependable market data and a practical approach to compensation to support good decision making and company growth. TechEdge has helped more than 100 companies get a grasp of their biggest investment and manage it more effectively.
Lynn and Helen are actively involved with Technology Associations throughout Ontario, and have been asked to share their expertise with OCRI’s (Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation) CFO Group and Commercialization companies, as well as a number of HR related groups and associations. TechEdge has been nominated for OCRI’s Supplier of the Year Award, and 2 Vision Awards for their active support to advance the profession of HR through the Ottawa region Rewards Association (ORRA). Helen was the founding Chair of ORRA, and continues to lead their Student Programs Team.
Both Lynn and Helen have been in the Human Resources field for more than 20 years, specifically within the Technology sector. Both hold Business degrees and are Certified Compensation Professionals.
