Successful entrepreneur Dr. David Young is the inventor or author of over 200 patents and scientific papers. After founding biotechnology company ARIUS Research Inc. in 1999, he was CEO and manager of its scientific operations until its sale to F. Hoffman-La Roche in 2008. Hear Dr. Young tell the story of ARIUS and learn more about his experiences in the world of biotechnology.

This is part of a series of “Lived It” lectures in the program, sessions that offer a great opportunity to hear firsthand and ask questions about the experience of starting up an innovative company – from people who have seen it and done it.

Dr. Young is a founder and member of the senior management team of Actium Research Inc., a private biotechnology company that discovers and develops drugs that solve intractable problems for people with critical illnesses.
