The global chemicals industry continues to be heavily reliant on crude oil. New technology, rising oil prices, increased regulation, a need for environmentally friendly feedstock and increasing consumer awareness are driving the growth of renewable, or bio-based, chemicals. The world market for renewable chemicals made from crops, algae, garbage and other biomass is expected to be over US$76 billion by 2017. As a result, businesses and investors are keenly interested. We have assembled an expert panel to discuss technologies and issues that are having an impact now or are near on the horizon as we move to greener, innovative renewable chemicals.

We hope you can join us for “Opportunities in AgriBusiness: Renewable Chemicals”, part of our continuing Cleantech in Canada seminar series providing insight on key emerging opportunities for cleantech entrepreneurs, investors and government.

Our Speakers:
Jose Laurentino, CEO, Azule Fuel
Jack Grushcow, CEO, Linnaeus Plant Sciences
Sam Hasan, V.P., Business Development & Marketing, GreenCore Composites
Sasha Jacob, President & CEO, Jacob Securities Inc.
