Richard Lockie is an experienced investor and Corporate Director. Over the years he has worked with emerging companies in the health care field as a CFO, CEO, Director and Chairman. His deep relationships with the financial community and the health care industry have enhanced value for the companies under his watch. Richard was the founding employee of MDS Capital Corp. in 1988 and was instrumental in building the company to a preeminent position in the industry. MDS Capital Corp. was the first Venture Capital company in Canada and one of the first in North America to focus exclusively on health care. It grew from an original single fund of $25 million to having multiple funds and funds under management in excess of $1 billion. With MDS Capital Richard focused on investments in health care software, medical devices, services and diagnostics. He has chaired a number of private and publicly listed portfolio companies. Richard holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a BA in Economics from The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
