Wendy McDowall

Wendy coordinates all public and private sector fundraising efforts for MaRS, as well as program sponsorships and community partnerships.Wendy joined MaRS from an assignment as the Capital Campaign Director for the Canadian Opera Company’s new performance venue, the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Previously, Wendy was Director of Development for the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, and Chief Development Officer on the leadership team for a capital campaign. Before joining Harborview, Wendy was Director of Development for Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle where she oversaw fundraising activities and an endowment campaign. Her fundraising career started in Toronto at McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and was followed by five years as Director of Development and Planned Giving for the National Ballet of Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology/English) degree from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.
