Ontario’s Market Readiness Program aims to equip high-potential technology companies and entrepreneurs with the tools they need to move successfully into the global marketplace.

We provide resources to entrepreneurs and innovators to help them create successful businesses through the following:

• Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF)
• Business Mentorship and Entrepreneurship Program (BMEP)
• National Angel Capital Organization connecting high-potential entrepreneurs with angel investors through the National Angel Organization

Funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Research and Innovation, the four-year Market Readiness Program is jointly delivered by MaRS and the Ontario Centres of Excellence.

INVESTMENT ACCELERATOR FUND (IAF)

The Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF) is an early-stage seed fund delivered by OCE that helps Ontario technology companies bring their products and services to market. Through early-stage investment of up to $500K in the form of a convertible debenture (loan) in return for a nominal equity position, the IAF helps launch high potential ventures that are attractive to follow-on investors.

BUSINESS MENTORSHIP AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM (BMEP)

The Business Mentorship and Entrepreneurship Program (BMEP) provides services and resources to technology entrepreneurs at no cost. Working through a network of entrepreneurs-in-residence and advisors throughout the province, BMEP helps entrepreneurs accelerate the process of taking innovative products and services to market.
