The MaRS Collaboration Center’s built-in, state-of-the-art AV and collaboration equipment reduces many of the challenges usually associated with executing meetings and events.

Available equipment includes:
  • motorized drop-down screens;
  • ceiling-mounted LCD Projectors;
  • plasma screens;
  • high-end JBL sound systems with wireless microphones;
  • high-resolution camera to capture and record events; and
  • automated lighting controls with optimal settings for various needs.

MaRS on-site technicians will help to get any meeting going, and introduce the Centre’s easy “plug-and-play” equipment available to make sure meetings run smoothly. MaRS AV technicians—the only technicians allowed to operate equipment on-site—are available at an extra charge to assist with presentations and events as required.

The MaRS Collaboration Centre also provides a broad range of technologies to foster communication, collaboration and remote participation including:
  • SMART Board interactive whiteboard;
  • teleconferencing;
  • multi-site, high-quality video conferencing;
  • webcasting and archiving;
  • media broadcast capabilities (television, cable, satellite, Internet);
  • wireless technologies; and
  • emerging technologies such as audience response systems, decision support and distributed meetings.
