BUSINESS PROJECT FUNDING
Every now and then a company needs a little bit of money to complete a strategically important project. Business Project Funding will provide funds to enable entrepreneurs to access specialized advisory services such as advice from niche market experts, protection of intellectual property, 3rd-party validation or testing or primary market research. Up to $10,000 may be provided to an eligible company in a given year.To access Business Project Funding, you will need to discuss your project with one of our EIRs or agents. INVESTMENT ACCELERATOR FUND (IAF)
The Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF) is a $27.5 million seed fund that finances eligible knowledge-based companies in the early stages of technology development and commercialization.The Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF) helps high potential Ontario technology companies by providing early stage investment of up to $500K. Investments are made in the form of a convertible debenture (loan) in return for a nominal equity position.
The IAF invests in new or early stage companies enabling them to develop new technology and products and gain entrepreneurial know-how to take the idea to the marketplace, and make them attractive prospects to follow-on investors.
IAF has strict parameters and applications will only be accepted from companies that meet all the requirements and match all of the funding criteria.

ANGEL NETWORK
The National Angels Organization is creating an Angel Network throughout Ontario. This network provides funding and resource support to develop a province-wide support infrastructure for angel investors, including developing training materials for entrepreneurs and investors (reports and guidebooks on best practices); conducting best practice workshops; creating a uniform due diligence process for Ontario angel groups and networks; and creating an online review process.To enquire about angel funding for your business, please contact Bryan Watson at bwatson@angelinvestor.ca.
