Do you really want to be an Entrepreneur? with David Campbell: Lived it Lecture – Entrepreneurship 101 2008/09

Length: 51 mins | Uploaded 2 days ago | 26 consolidated views

Speaker David M. Campbell asks: Do you really want to be an Entrepreneur?

This is part of a series of “Lived It” lectures in the program, sessions that offer a great opportunity to hear firsthand and ask questions about the experience of starting up an innovative company – from people who have seen it and done it.

David M. Campbell first entered business in 1945 when he started Dave Campbell’s Melody House. What began as a simple record store became a retail innovator, selling the very latest in twentieth-century consumer electronics. In 1952, he established Cable TV Ltd to bring better pictures to people’s television sets. A decade later, he founded CMQ (originally Combined Market Quotations Inc.) a financial-markets data network, later sold to Dow Jones. Today he directs Tricaster Holdings, a company that invests in operating businesses, and with his wife, Vivian, he contributes to charitable projects through the Vivian and David Campbell Family Foundation. Mr. Campbell is author of the book, The Way of the Entrepreneur, Do you really need an MBA?
