This position is offered in part by the MaRS Student Work Placement program (SWP), which connects post-secondary students with work placements in technology and business.
At Trainer Plus, we make a web and mobile platform the creates content and support ecosystems for trainers and gyms. This platform helps scale fitness support and personal training, helping the fitness industry offer new online services and be more accessible and affordable to more people. This is the first step in not only evolving their business online, but accessing new markets in corporate wellness and healthcare.
With fitness as the top form of prevention, there is still a disconnect between the fitness and healthcare industries. We are on a mission to help bridge the gap between fitness and healthcare, by using our technology to scale content from experts and reinforce a best practice, evidence based approach to fitness. We are looking for someone to help grow the user and customer base of both our products at Trainer Plus. We need a team member who can take responsibility for designing marketing campaigns both for consumers and for fitness professionals and gyms and see those campaigns through. This means designing the concept, experiments, measurement of success and iterations to help drive key metrics for the growth of the company. As a growth marketer, you must be able to work with the business development and design teams to help in crafting the message and strategy to drive the company objectives. This means coming up with the overall strategy and working with team members to deliver the ongoing assets needed to execute. Most importantly, this means experimenting and using a data driven approach to improve results in quick iterations.
- Experience designing and executing marketing campaigns
- Working knowledge of different social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
- Ability to set up and interpret measurement tools (Google Analytics, Fabric, MixPanel)
- Creative and self-directed
- Ability to take risks, fail, learn and iterate quickly
- Solid communication and copywriting skills
Nice to haves
- Basic data analytics and querying coding skills (Python)
- Design and video editing skills
- Knowledge or work experience with the fitness industry
