At Healthy Pets, we are reinventing the way pet parents access and receive veterinary care. We seek to simplify pet parenthood through virtual veterinary consultations, although there’s much more than that to come.
Healthy Pets is an online marketplace connecting local veterinarians with pet parents on demand through video chat. For a fraction of the cost of traditional, in-clinic service, pet parents can now source reliable pet health and wellness information and care from the comfort of home. Veterinarians are able to better serve current clientele, reach new clientele, and work wherever and whenever they please through our digital platform.
We are a small team of mighty business people, passionate about improving the lives of pets and their owners. We are backed by leading investors in the Toronto area. We were also named Canada’s Most Promising Startup of the Year (2017) by TELUS and winner of PayPal Canada’s inaugural Small Business Contest (2017).
Healthy Pets currently offers its telemedicine service through an iOS, Android and web application. Although these products are functional, we now need to build product suite 2.0 from the ground up, deigned to grow and evolve alongside the company.
The Product Manager [Co-Op] role will provide a talented senior student with the opportunity to own product development from the ground zero. Reporting the VP Engineering, the Product Manager will be responsible for designing and developing the next evolution of our products, including iOS, Android and web.
You will support the product roadmap through technical expertise. Your role will necessitate excellent user interaction on a weekly, if not daily basis. Your design capabilities will be leveraged throughout the process. The ability to support technical product growth is an asset.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working within a small team and be responsible for achieving success without day-to-day direct oversight. He/she will desire to take ownership of their work; there’s no room for cutting corners when your contribution will directly affect company success.
The successful candidate must currently be enrolled in an applicable post-secondary program in order to facilitate a co-op placement.
