Product Development Intern (Multiple Opportunities)
Position Start Date: May 1, 2018
Position End Date: August 1, 2018

Damiva Inc. is a women’s health and personal care company developing innovative products for several aspects of women’s health, beginning with feminine care.

The position supports our President, Gardiner Smith, in product development. New areas of potential expansion will be explored including product lines for “Baby,” “Mother and Baby,” and research on men’s health will be undertaken.

Students can expect a fast-paced learning environment in which they will see their ideas and research commercialized in front of their eyes. They will be able to apply their scientific learning to the business world.

Project Description:

The intern will support Damiva’s product development expansion through research into new products. The intern will:
a) Review the medical literature for unmet needs of babies, children, mothers and men (databases will be provided by Damiva);
b) Create therapeutic product profiles that describe how new products can address these needs;
c) speak to physicians, experts and customers; and
d) input into the formulations of these new products through sourcing of ingredients.

Minimum Qualifications:

In a B.Sc. or M.Sc. program in one of: chemistry, naturopathic products, medical-related field, science in business

Technical Skills:

Able to understand medical literature fluently and has a background in chemistry.

Soft Skills:

Excellent writing skills
