Position Overview:

Position Objectives & Expected Outcomes

  • Develop and manage a suite of revenue-generating products for e-Zn, including all key elements such as product specifications, business model, pricing, etc.
  • Design the go-to-market strategy for the product suite, and lead the business development, marketing and sales efforts
  • Collaborate with e-Zn’s leadership team to ensure market insights are relayed back into the corporate strategy and product design
  • Set overall sales strategy in order to achieve corporate objectives related to development timelines, ramp up of customer acquisition, revenue growth and profitability
  • Recruit and lead a team of experienced business development and sales & marketing professionals

Position Scope and Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategy and specifications according to relevant market applications in close coordination with product development team
  • Assess other product offerings from similar and relevant organizations on an on-going basis to understand relative product positioning and to identify areas of opportunity
  • Identify, build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of prospective customers
  • Develop and execute product marketing and sales strategies
  • Determine product pricing strategy by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customized product offerings, etc.
  • Bring new products to market with established timelines and milestones
  • Assess product performance based on market and customer analyses, and collaborate with VP Engineering to refine product/market fit
  • Provide company’s leadership with timely updates on strategies, product plans, short-term and long-term product sales goals, reports, analyses, and financial results
  • Build and lead a growing business development and sales & marketing team by recruiting, training, and managing professionals

Qualifications

  • Minimum undergraduate degree plus 10+ years of business experience in relevant fields (preference given to Engineering or Applied Sciences); MBA an asset
  • Significant experience in business development, product launch and management, customer management, requirements analysis, pricing, planning, competitive analysis, financial planning and strategy
  • High degree of comfort with technical topics related to electrical power systems and renewable energy, as well as business concepts and issues
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and colleagues in a fast-paced business environment
  • Superior project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent capabilities in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
