Across the nation, a burgeoning critical mass of mature and emergent social ventures – organizations incorporated as charities and nonprofits as well as businesses – are working to address urgent social and environmental problems. Whatever their legal form, these vibrant organizations and enterprises have made a strong commitment to their mission to improve their local communities and the world they share with their neighbours.
