TORONTO, April 25, 2014 – MaRS Discovery District today launched its new website, which offers improved access to services and resources for entrepreneurs, the public and the MaRS community, powered by a fluid, flexible platform that showcases top stories and shareable content.

“Today, MaRS is launching much more than a new website. We have created a key resource in delivering on our mission of driving economic and social prosperity by harnessing the full potential of Canadian innovation,” says Charles Finley, MaRS’ Acting Vice President of Marketing & Communications.

The site, designed by Toronto creative agency Idea Couture, conveys the incredible breadth of ventures in MaRS’ portfolio across each of its key sectors.

Take a look at the new, and you’ll find:

  • Clean, contemporary and intuitive design, simplified navigation and clear pathways to relevant content and the services & resources we offer to entrepreneurs and innovators.
  • An easily searchable repository for online tools and resources, consolidating content that in the past existed on multiple sites.
  • A new focus on community content, allowing us to share more stories about the entrepreneurs, new technologies and communities that are driving innovation not only at MaRS and throughout Canada, but globally.
  • A site that works the way MaRS does: Since our business is innovation, we have teams working across sectors on an ever-changing set of projects and initiatives. We have consolidated multiple websites into one platform where teams can manage their own content, and publish and share it centrally in our News & Insights section or into social channels.
