What is

Being an entrepreneur is hard, especially in the early stages of a business. To help you out, we created, a community-driven tool to help you discover the best financial and business resources. Looking for funding for your Ontario startup? Or how to hire an accountant? Start your search here.

It’s our first collaborative project with Meridian, Ontario’s largest credit union, Futurpreneur and the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE). We started this project by surveying and meeting with entrepreneurs across the ONE community with the goal to understand their financial skill levels, thanks to Innovate Niagara and Innovation Factory in Hamilton. With that information, members of MaRS and the ONE community selected top resources that would be most relevant to innovation-based startups.

What does do? is designed to help entrepreneurs find resources on topics ranging from basic startup costs to raising investment money. You’ll discover tools on:

  • Business structures basics for operating in Canada
  • Identifying and understanding sources of funding for your company
  • When and why to hire an accountant and bookkeeper

How can you help grow

We’re looking for your help in making this tool even better. Your input is highly valuable and the resources you recommend will benefit thousands of entrepreneurs. Send us suggestions, questions and financial resources such as videos, articles and templates that would be useful for early-stage corporations, non-profits and sole proprietors.

In the meantime, make sure you check out to help you build your business.
