Big data brings big opportunities, and we’re here to help take advantage of them
Data is the new oil: We are now creating as much information every two days as we did from the dawn of civilization up until 2003. With more than 2.5 exabytes of data being created every day, data has the potential to become the fuel of a new economy and help current markets grow.
MaRS Data Catalyst is here to help innovators and decision-makers in Ontario turn data’s potential into new ideas and solutions that will power the province’s innovation ecosystem.
Data Catalyst launched its new website earlier this month. Over the past year, we’ve been working to create programs and projects that use data to help Ontario’s innovation landscape, and we’re excited to have a space online to share with you some of the work that we’re doing. The website will feature profiles, tools, stories, discussions and research all about the data economy in Ontario, helping entrepreneurs, policy-makers and others to better understand the province’s innovation ecosystem.
We hope you’ll visit the site to learn more about Data Catalyst and its work, and to use the data, tools, discussions, events and white papers we’ll be sharing there. We especially hope that you’ll be in touch to help us build a shared platform for innovation in Ontario by leveraging big data.
