Julia Zeeman

I am a young environmental professional and a straightforward strategic thinker. I have a strong passion to prevent climate change, and am captivated with the Community Power movement in Ontario. I am a board member for Sustainability Ontario Community Energy Co-operative, and I have worked with the Toronto Renewable Energy Co-operative and the Federation of Community Power Co-operatives as well. I graduated from Dalhousie University with combined honours in International Development and Economics, and prior to Studio Y was working toward completing a Master’s in Environmental Studies and a diploma in business at York University. At York, my self-directed Plan of Study was focused on Financing Energy: Communities, Technology and Institutions, with a trajectory toward developing financial solutions for sustainable energy. I live in a world of people, possibilities and acts as a catalyst for individual and collective growth. I am determined to make renewable energy part of mainstream culture in Canada.
