Matthias Oschinski
Matthias conducts in-depth research on Canada’s economic development, labour market developments and the innovation economy. His work focuses on the determinants of industry success and firm growth, as well as the future of work and inclusive innovation. He is also a teaching faculty member at the University of Toronto’s School of Public Policy and Governance.
Prior to joining MaRS, Matthias worked in economic and statistical analysis across academia and the public sector. He has lived and worked in Germany, the United Kingdom, India and Canada. Matthias holds a PhD in economics from the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and a master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
