Professors Abdallah Daar and Peter Singer

Professors Abdallah Daar and Peter Singer, leaders in global health policy and ethics, have made innovative contributions in taking science from the laboratory to the village. They helped shape important initiatives of the Gates Foundation, Government of Canada and UN Secretary General. Dr. Daar was awarded the 2005 UNESCO Avicenna Prize for Ethics of Science and Dr. Singer was awarded one of two 2007 Michael Smith Awards as Canada
