Roisin Grimes

Roisin Grimes was an Associate at the Advanced Energy Centre at MaRS. In her role, Roisin worked with the Centre’s partners and key industry players to address the barriers to adopting innovation in the energy sector. She helped effectively communicate the Centre’s value as a neutral third party in this space, developing thought leadership and sector insights.
Prior to joining the Advanced Energy Centre, Roisin was a project manager in a renewable energy consultancy. In addition to conducting technical feasibility studies for renewable energy projects, Roisin previously managed trans-national, EU-funded programs. These programs focused on stimulating economic development and building market capacity for renewable energy use, employing expert business mentoring to create local clean energy supply chains. Alongside her consultancy position, Roisin also dedicated her personal time as the Energy Crops Executive at Ireland’s biomass energy industry association. Roisin studied at Queen’s University Belfast, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, before completing a Master’s of Science in Leadership for Sustainable Rural Development.
