Three MaRS clients among IDC’s annual “Ten Canadian Mobile and Wireless Companies to Watch”

Toronto, June 3, 2010 – MaRS, a Toronto-based not-for-profit innovation centre, announces the inclusion of three of its clients, Jigsee, MMB Research and Polar Mobile in the IDC Annual “Ten Canadian Mobile and Wireless Companies to Watch.” The IDC Study features ten emerging companies that are innovating and excelling with a variety of mobile and wireless technology solutions including: mobile marketing, couponing, analytics, smart grid enablement, TV and video on demand – even for traditional phones, mobile money services, mobile enterprise Apps and product life-cycle management.

Mobile and wireless continues to be an attractive market with the adoption of smart phones reaching 17% in Canada, along with a 22% growth in device shipments this year. Canada is also well positioned to accommodate the increasing use of data intensive apps with improved high-speed wireless networks.

The ten companies featured in the report (in alphabetical order) include: Adenyo, Clip Mobile, Common Enterprise, Jigsee, MMB Research, Neuraltic, Polar Mobile, Quickplay, Seregon, and Telepin Software.
