Ten million apps downloaded and over 1.5 billion pages served by Ontario Start-up Polar Mobile

Toronto, October 21, 2011 – MaRS client Polar Mobile, a global leader in helping media companies extend to mobile devices, has announced that their apps have been downloaded over 10 million times and that the company has served over 1.5 billion pages since their first app launched in 2008.

Polar now has 320 customers in 11 countries and is powering 1,200 apps across iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, PlayBook, Windows Phone and Nokia devices. In the past year, Polar has increased their number of apps by 1,500%, their number of overseas customers by 220% and their user base by 67%.
