At the Schulich Startups Event Series some of Canada’s most successful founders share their stories. The next event will feature a conversation with Eva Wong, co-founder and COO of Borrowell. Wong is a superstar of the startup scene. She was named as one of the Standout 35 on the global Women in FinTech Powerlist in 2018, Twitter Canada called her one of 20 tech start-up founders to follow, and she is a past EY Entrepreneur of the Year for Ontario. Discover how to fuel the future
Air travel contributes about two percent of global greenhouse gas emissions annually. But the potential to make the industry more environmentally friendly goes far beyond developing sustainable fuels for planes. At Future Fuels: Climate Solutions in the Sky — and on the Ground, industry leaders discuss how airports can become hubs for cleantech innovation that run on renewable electricity, hydrogen power and other clean energy sources. Connect with Muslim makers
Muslamic Makers is a community of Muslim changemakers helping each other grow and succeed in tech. The community began as a monthly meetup in London, England and now has 1,500 members. It is opening its first chapter in Toronto with organizers Yusra Hussain and Jumana Bahrainwala. Join them for a launch celebration and meetup to learn more about how you can get involved. Put inclusion into action
Join the Canadian innovation community in helping make employment more inclusive. The MaRS and CIBC Inclusive Design Challenge: Career Advancement is looking for solutions that improve career prospects for people with disabilities. Learn more about the competition requirements and how to apply at this online information session. The challenge winner will receive $50,000 and two runners-up will each get $20,000. Explore artificial intelligence trends
The University of Toronto AI conference is a two-day event focused on the impacts of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
