What does it take to be an entrepreneur?
Last Wednesday, at our CIBC Presents Entrepreneurship 101 course opener lecture we talked about the dictionary definition: “one who undertakes.” But what are the key characteristics of successful entrepreneurs? Is it courage to take on risk – or is that simply doing bold things despite the naysayers? Is it perseverance – which some might characterize as blind stubbornness? Is it charismatic broad vision leadership – or detailed execution of a plan?
I’d like to hear comments both from the class of hopeful entrepreneurs as well as from more seasoned veterans as to what they feel leads to success.
