Macis a seasoned venture capitalist and entrepreneur with roots in software engineering. Starting as a contractor with the Department of Defense, Mac went on to found two startups. He later joined TEDCO, creating the Builder Fund, a pre-seed fund for women and minority founders. In 2020, he launched RareBreed Ventures, an early-stage fund, which has invested in 47 companies across more than 30 verticals in 17 U.S. states and 4 countries, embracing talent beyond major tech hubs. Recognized for his thought leadership and commitment to inclusion, Mac frequently shares insights on fund-building and founder support.
