Prateek (Teek) Dwivedi is the Lead, Health Tech Ventures at MaRS Health, where he is responsible for the creation and implementation of the strategy that will help bring health technology innovations to market. Teek is also a partner at Leap Ventures, advising young healthcare ventures on product innovation and financing, and runs the cancer informatics strategy for Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, where he is responsible for ushering in a new platform that integrates all clinical and research environments. Previously, Teek was the chief information officer at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, responsible for technology infrastructure, application deployment and management, health records, and admitting and registration.
Teek has a keen interest in simplifying the clinician experience with mobile technology to foster an ever-increasing focus on patients. This pursuit led to the creation of VitalHub, a platform that provides mobile access to the electronic medical record, bringing together over 65 applications. Teek has a master of applied science in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo.
