Robert Bianchi was the Director of Partnerships with the Advanced Energy Centre (AEC). Robert is passionate about sustainable practices and technologies that protect the natural environment and has devoted almost all of his 15-year career to the cleantech industry. At the AEC, Robert was responsible for establishing a strong partnership network, maintaining stakeholder relations, organizational budgeting, reporting and ensuring obligations are met.
Prior to joining the AEC, Robert was actively involved in delivering a sustainable technology solution to the City of Sudbury under a $62-million Public-Private Partnership (P3) contract. This project was completed on time and on budget, and was awarded the Chuck Wills Award for Innovation and Excellence. Building on his passion for the adoption of sustainable technology, Robert later incorporated a consultancy and was retained to advance cleantech in Canada, India, South America, and the Middle East. Engagements involved unique, customer-sited energy storage, building energy efficiency retrofits, and conversion of organic by-products into valuable commodities for the energy and agricultural sector.
Robert is a professional engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University.
