TORONTO, March 31, 2026 — MaRS today announced the return of its flagship health innovation summit, MaRS Impact Health 2026. This year’s conference will take place on April 23 at the MaRS Centre in downtown Toronto. Headlining speakers include industry leader John Valliant, former CEO of Fusion Pharmaceuticals, as well as Arun Menawat of Profound Medical, Brad Sorenson of Providence Therapeutics and Frank Gleeson of Satellos Bioscience. They will be joined by venture experts like Brian Bloom from Bloom Burton and Johannes Fruehauf from BioLabs, as well as neuroscientists Dr. Liisa Galea from CAMH and Dr. Natasha Rajah from TMU.
This year’s summit expands to two stages, alongside an investor-focused networking program and a dedicated startup showcase. Nearly 100 speakers will participate, including entrepreneurs, investors, corporate partners, policy-makers, clinicians, researchers and journalists.
“We are at an inflection point where advanced technologies are fundamentally rewriting the rules of patient care, diagnostics and drug development,” said Louise Pichette, director of health sciences at MaRS. “Impact Health 2026 is about moving from breakthrough to market. We are bringing together corporate innovators and deal-makers to ensure that Canada’s most promising, high-impact ventures scale to global markets.”
