Support and seed capital for young entrepreneurs

Looking for support and seed capital to help your business take off?

Spin Master Ltd.—one of the largest children’s entertainment companies in the world—and the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) have teamed up to help.

The Spin Master Innovation Fund is for young Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are looking for the funding and mentoring that will turn their current business plan into a sustainable business.

In summer 2011, Spin Master Ltd and the CYBF will award 10 young entrepreneurs with Spin Master Innovation Fund start-up packages.

The start-package includes:

• Up to $50,000 in start-up financing provided by CYBF and its affiliate Entrepreneur Gateway Canada.
• A mentor from CYBF’s mentoring program + select Spin Master executives for two years, to help with channel exploration.
• Paid travel to Toronto to attend a two-day Innovation Launch Pad Workshop, where attendees will receive feedback from the Spin Master Innovation Fund Advisory Team, attend other workshops and network.
• An Online Innovation Peer Group, providing access to webinars and business tips from Spin Master and other business advisors.
