Advanced Energy Centre and Ontario Power Generation Announce New Collaboration
The Advanced Energy Centre (AEC) is proud to announce a new collaboration with Ontario Power Generation (OPG). This agreement formalizes the working relationship between the two entities, and their mutual commitment to co-creating innovative energy solutions that will drive efficiencies and reduce costs for customers in Ontario and beyond.
This partnership demonstrates OPG’s commitment and leadership in addressing and responding to the ongoing technology-driven market transformation in the utility sector. Collaboration between the two organizations will focus on shared strategic priorities, including delivering value to customers, maximizing the value of OPG’s existing assets and exploring domestic and international market opportunities. The Advanced Energy Centre’s unique role as a neutral third party connected to innovative energy sector SMEs, leading global energy players, regulators and the public sector will give OPG insight into emerging energy technologies and provides a platform for multi-stakeholder engagement and problem-solving.
About the AEC
The Advanced Energy Centre is a public-private partnership with the mission of both fostering the adoption of innovative energy technologies in Ontario and Canada, and leveraging those successes and experiences into international markets. The AEC works with over 150 Canadian start-ups and SMEs in the cleantech and energy sector, and its role is to actively develop partnerships that will help bring these technologies to global markets. Within Canada, the AEC works to identify and remove systemic barriers to the adoption of energy innovation.
